Not to spin my own reels but, Check out my Avitar. I think I was the first and only one to use Supertape tape as/in/for a Avitar.

Yup. Saw those 390. Cool. Those MII tapes were supposed to be good ones too. I have a couple of the, but have yet to use one.

No kidding. The guy signs up and hasn't been on once since he did that. What a waste of time signing up. I've been noticing members with really odd names coming up- as if they were spammers just punching in letters with no meaning behind them.

Actually nearly new reg's as of late DO pass my initial sniff test. The problem is that a lot of them don't bother coming back after awhile. Do not despair, I do still frequently weed them out.

Welcome to tapeheads ! I use to swear by Radioshack tapes but many of the ones I used back in the day are shedding and falling apart. Radioshack tapes I bought in the mid to late 90's however are ok. The sound for live recording isn't that bad either.

This version (which are the ones made in Japan & when Radio Shack stopped making tapes is the last of the MII tapes & on the rare side as shortly after they hit the shelves they were discontinued.) I believe is a Denon HD-8 in discuise. They are good tape. But I will start a new post for that.

The id supertape was from my fantasy.
I would like to make an introduction to me.
I have been passionate about ultra hi-fi for years.
I play in a music band for fun.
I own a restored RS-1700 reel to reel machine and a X-2000M.
Thank you for the welcome.
