I have to tell you about the Sanyo A35 Plus Series integrated amp, my first Brand New audio purchase. I walked meekly into an audio salon in St. Louis a bright eyed teen with $$ in my pocket, shaking like a leaf, two MFSL LP's under my arm, looking for an amp. Had the speakers picked out, Genesis II's, green foam surrounds. I had the Sanyo and a Philips integrated to listen to. The Philips was silver with VU meters about 70 watts, no MC input though, the Sanyo was getting rave reviews for it's sweet MosFet design. I listened to both each for all 4 sides of the LP's, I picked the Sanyo for it's warm, punchy sound! I would have been happy with either really but, I was thinking of going the MC cart. route, sooo, I later let it go to a friend and always regreted it. It had a killer headphone amp, drove the very hard to please AKG cans with aplomb!! I think everyone needs a nice 50 watt integrated in their hoard/stash. Then I found and won a *hope*fully perfect example (sorry for repeating the pics). But How F'n cool that it was born the same day as me!

I hope my *old* memory is correct on this one, these Sanyo's are real sleepers, I think for $99 shipped to my door I got a score and a nostalgia trip/birthday bonus *Hi5*

I'm gonna have to build another nice little system around this gem! *bananadance**bananadance*

I agree a great deal for the price and the nostalgia. I'm afraid if I found an amp made on my birthday it would be a mono amp.

Either your a young whippersnapper or you were born again? *scratchchin*

An amp made the day I was born would have been sold with a wire recorder. *devil*

She's got to get here first! Just up the road in Ft. Collins CO. Next week, I'll warm her up withthe DCM's nice easy speaker load, then see what some low level MosFets do with the 'Logans. I'll have to find a nice set of speakers eventually for it. I'll be scouting CL alot, Hehe!

Congrats Stuwee. I have the Sanyo Plus Series separates including a pair of P55 amps, C55 pre, and T55 tuner. I even have the optional rack ears. Also Mosfet design, the amps sound sweet. The C55 pre is a touch murky. Like your integrated, it has MC phono.

Congrats on winning your Birthday Amp! Call it an early (or late) birthday present to yourself!

Now, all you have to do is figure out wher you can use another system, eh?

Congrats on the score!

The closest I have is my Scott, made the same year I was born, heck I'm only a year older than my TT. *hope*
