For the price I think they can't be beat. I push mine hard. Yes they have the British sound.

Long time ago I owned a pair of Epos ES14s which were placed on Target stands. I used an Audiolab 8000A integrated with a Linn Axis turntable.

Nice speakers, if a little polite and restrained.

I remember the ES14s well and a couple of good friends still use them. It was, and still is, a great speaker, but having tried them with an Audiolab 8000a, I didn't feel it was a marriage that got the best out of them. Polite and restrained was very much an Audiolab trait, a bit cool and aloof, but replace it with something like a Naim Nait at similar money and things really start to boogie.

Both friends use Naim and Exposure electronics with them and they really come alive. I believe that Robin Marshall used Naim electronics to develop the ES14s (and others) so it's perhaps no surprise that they work so well together.

The Creek is a cracking amp and another excellent match for Epos speakers. If you ever get a chance though, try them with a Naim amp. It takes what you already have and builds on it.

I'm running my tubes thru my 12.2. For a 2 way they sound so full with the tubes.
