Here's another vintage tape demagnetizer you may remember. I can't believe it still works (just used it) and I have never changed the battery *hypnot*

I love how it looks. Just like a piece of vintage gear guts in clear plastic. And the light is cool when it comes on inside my black Nak :)

I must have bought this back in the 80's as well. I wanted something for my car's tape deck . . .

I have three of those, and pick them up whenever possible. We had a big discussion of them here (http://www.tapeheads.net/showthread.php?t=2710), and had a good laugh here (http://www.tapeheads.net/showthread.php?t=3174). Mine have always worked great and done a superb job as intended. It made one job just as easy as it could be.

Yes it is a great little tool, but what I want to know is what camera are you using to get such a sharp close up? The digital camera I have would never capture an image so well that close.

Lumix TZ5

When we started looking at cameras in the under $300 range I told myself I wouldn't buy a Panasonic . . . but after getting hands on the other cameras, I realized it was the best for us at that price point. What makes the picture so good (on this camera) is the Leica lense.

I have a "Black Magic" one of these. Bought it NOS 2 yeas ago from one of the music shops I frequent. Year in the back said 1985! the guy who runs it is a big tapenut, and always tries to bring in cassettes.

I have at least two completely different versions of these. Different board, different color shell, same model number.

I've had this guy since about 1985 also. I put a new battery in it about a year ago. (Sorry for the crummy picture but I don't have a digital camera)

Same as mine, but mine has "Black Magic " on the label as well.
