Hello everybody,
after being a member of the direct predecessor of this forum I just joined itīs sucessor and I think a brief introduction is in place.
Maybe like some of you too (?) I bought me a Reel to Reel Deck some years ago fulfilling me a dream I couldnīt really afford in the 70īs when I was a teenager.
After purchasing an AKAI GX 636 (silver) I couldīt resist buying another deck some months later (this time it was an AKAI GX 646).
Right now I own besides the two above mentioned decks two more (an AKAI GX 635DB -yes I like the AKAIīs - and a Technics RS 1700).
So I started my own collection of Reel to Reel Decks you could say.
My wish to buy list is almost endless: To mention some -
SONY TC 755A,
PIONEER 909,
AKAI GX 747 dbx,
AKAI GX 285,
TEAC X 2000...
I think there is nothing like listening to a big Reel to Reel deck an watching the big reels turning; well there a probably a few other things...:D
greetings
