I thought (even as a new guy) it would be neat to know everyone's location. This way for someone like me, maybe we could have get togethers. I've done this on other forums and it's worked out really well. Just a thought.

I'll start. I'm in Charlotte, NC

I'm just southeast of Tampa, central west coast of Florida...

Good idea, and this is why the mods generally recommend putting your location in the header line. That way when someone asks for help, we don't have to ask right off: "Where are you?"

BTW, I held a regional SE Alaska meet a few weeks ago and enjoyed my own company delightfully. I hope others can certainly gather some members around them for some social greets!

Yes, the location n the header is great. A regional meeting section would probably be better..This way for those that are interested it's quick and easy to post. The hard part is to constantly search for member locations..this way, it's quick!

I heard... I'll be coming Friday and/or Saturday the 13th-14th. I'll bring some TOTL Yamaha integrated amps so everyone can hear that wonderful Yamaha sound (not for sale)!! And Nak CR-2 and DR-3 decks to sell/trade.

Nice! The upper range of Yamaha amps really are good stuff... I have a Yamaha M-50 power amp that has been a wonderful performer for me. Hooked up to my Tannoys, it really makes them sing!

That being said, I'm trying to get my Sansui AU-717 fixed so I can have some additional inputs/outputs for my system. So, if that ever happens, I could eventually have this M-50 up for sale...

I'd love to have a Florida tapeheads meet! Anyone need to get out of the cold?

I had one gathering at my location a number of years back, when I belonged to the OTHER forum, along with a few informal meets at other members of said forum a few years back also.Sorta miss mingling with other audio nuts, wouldn't mind hosting a gathering of THer's in my new Audio Manuary built about year ago, have even let this forum know of an open invite if your in my neck of the woods. And my neck of the woods is on Whidbey Island,2 hrs north of Seattle.I'm on the north end of the island, just come across the bridge, drive 25 or so minutes and your at my front door.As for a regional gathering...I'm all for it,just let me know. But alas,I don't know how many of us even occupy the Pacific Northwest here in Washington State,or any of my Canadian neighbors in British Columbia.*Hi5* Rob
