If that's for the deck, then yeah. Go get it. OTOH, Ampex 456 is at or near the top of the list of worst "sticky shed" offenders. As tape, it's almost certainly worthless. But for $50, it might be worth it if there are 5 or more clean metal reels in the lot. Definitely keep us posted with a follow up.

I offered to pay time, effort, gas, sleep with his wife, marry his daughter....whatever it took for him to go grab that for me before someone else showed up with a few pfennigs more and it disappears on me. I'm not going to get excited until he says he has it, but at least the "hunt" is moving forward with positive action.
