Best ever TDK score

A few years back I was working in North London and decided to drop into Harrow Audio for a nose around.

This turned out to be the best thing I ever did cassettewise; TDK MA-XG 90s at £1.99 a pop! "Defunct medium" and all that rot.
So, I ended up buying a hundred, eventually offloading around fifty or so on Ebay which paid for the initial outlay several times over.

Of course good news travels and I didn't manage to snag any others but that's fine - apparently someone took most of the remaining tapes they had in the warehouse.

Doubt if I'll ever stumble upon another windfall motherload like this one, still a great haul all the same.

Your story reminds of a small local shop near where I live...I got to talking about audio with the owner's son (he also worked there) and it came out that they recently "unloaded" hundreds of MAX-G's for next to nothing. Then I told him what they were going for on e-bay...well, at least he wasn't bitter. I would have offered him more than he was paid for them. And this was about 3 or 4 years ago...Hindsight is always so much clearer!

I have my fingers crossed that I'll run into something like this, but I think it's pretty unlikely.
