Interesting thread between the 102T and 106T tuners:

And the Magnum Dynalab website link:

Read some good remarks about this tuner. May not be the best option out there, but it holds its own. Plan to get one myself down the road. And Larry at the company stand by their products with after sale support for as long as you own it. 3 Year warranty. You can even upgrade your tuner with better parts through them, or upgrade to a higher model later on. They in turn will sell the used tuner of yours to someone else while you have a credit for a new one. The 102 is the solid state version, while the T version uses 6922 tubes inside.

I'll report back to this thread the day I do finally get one of these. Anyone have any comments on this or others of Magnum Tuners?

I have a Dynalab FT101A Etude model, bought it new back in 1991. Back then it was their best tuner. My comment is this: some vintage tuners do sound better and some will cost less for sure. However, I find the RF section of this tuner excellent ( I have about 5 other tuners I have compared it to). By saying excellent, I mean the ability to pull in distant stations, separate stations. If you live in a fringe area, a Dynalab tuner is the way to go...you'll make use of it. But if you live in area where you only listen to strong local stations, you won't make use of the good RF section.

You are correct, they do offer different upgrades, I have been thinking about going this route but haven't been able to decide as yet.
