Here's some interesting info from Nortronics, makers of products to make your recording experiance onto magnetic tape an enjoyable one. After plunking down a sizable amount of money for an audio system back then, and if that said money also included a tape deck of some kind, and you were serious about taping and/or listening to tapes, you surely wanted to keep your deck at it's cleanest by caring for it with the fine products made by Nortronics.Their brochure contained lots of technical info about your tape deck's heads, and tips on keeping it in tip-top condition, especially along the tape path.Back in the days when tape decks were tape decks, and men were men...you could buy all types of goodies to maintain your tape machine, take care of your tapes, and keep everything sounding at it's best.Of course there were many manufactures of said products, but I think Nortronics put their hearts into it,not just selling a product, but also telling why, when, and how to use it,as their informative guide/catalog did and illustrates. Most of us already know how to keep our decks maintained, but for those who need a re-fresher,or possibly something you didn't know about is contained in these pages by Nortronics, please enjoy the wealth of info, and it's too bad you can't find any of this stuff NOS somewhere in a warehouse, forgotten by time and man!! I have a bulk eraser that looks just like the one in the first pic of your second post. :)

Hey Web P!! So do I!!It looks just like that one,I don't think it was powerful enough for metal tapes, but fine for everything else.I also have a couple of the standard Radio Shack offerings for bulk erasure's,they also do the job, even have the heavy duty one for metal tapes. Rob
