For the first time ever, I have scored a pair of speakers I've been looking for at a great price of $100, very locally, infact! *eyepop*

Cerwin-Vega D-7!

They need some TLC, but over-all not too bad for being almost 30 years old. *bigthumbup*

Max: you have a knack for finding vintage stereo pieces that rivals your personality: to the Max. There's, usually, nothing small you choose to add to your collection. Nice find.

Nice score!

Thank You! I've wanted a pair since I've personally heard Big Tuna's, and I'm definitely glad I found this. Even though some work is needed to restore cosmetics.

nice score! cerwins rock!

Thank You! I've been a fan of Cerwin-Vega since my mom bought her first pair, which are RE-30s. The ONLY speaker set she purchased that actually LASTED over a years time... infact, she's had them for about 13 years now, still look and sound like new! *Hi5*

Hehehe, Maximum power anyone? *drool*

Right now, I'm listening to This is Smooth Jazz Volume one on them. Using my Pioneer SX-1050 as the power, and my DVL-90 as the source.

Loudness switch ON, Tone Controls OFF... L-pads to the MAX, and man, do they sound very nice and clear, I really don't need to add or remove any treble!

Only other pair of speakers I've had that didn't need a tone control, are my Marantz HD88. I'm quite impressed. I can just close my eyes and take in the music. *hypnot*
