Head Cleaner

Picked this up today. Has metal reels and the capstan cleaner at the lower right snaps in and out. Came with extra pad material. Didn't find any blank tapes to match. Fancy as they get. Let's say it was 5¢.

I've got one of those. My local used record shop still carries them. Back in another time and place there was a long thread about ree-to-reel cassettes and one of thes was my cheap ticket into that club ....

i imagine that one could quite easily open that up and replace the cleaner tape with a good TYPE-II or IV. just an idea, i'd love the opportunity to attempt that myself...

Just look on eBay for those ReelKleer cassettes and sell a few around here. Then Des can ban ya! (joking!) But if you took one of those and swapped the tape from a good tape pack, you'd have what you wanted.

There's a reason why no one made those reel cassettes after the early 80's. A simple case of looks over practicality.
