Using an Akai SX-90, recorded on my NAD 613. Most of it is stuff that I don't have on any medium, it's only on my computer. That's why I made the tape.

Side A: 80's Music

Easy Lover - Phillip Bailey & Phil Collins
Sussudio - Phil Collins
Girls With Guns - Tommy Shaw
Run, Runaway - Slade
The Waiting - Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
Love's Been A Little Bit Hard On Me - Juice Newton
Come Dancing - The Kinks
Pressure - Billy Joel

Side B: 70's Music
Piano Man - Billy Joel
Reminiscing - Little River Band
Goodbye Stranger - Supertramp
We Don't Talk Anymore - Cliff Richard
Here Comes My Girl - Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers

Heck, with only three exceptions I can think of off the top of my head, ALL of my tapes are "mixed" and always have been. The only ones that aren't mixed are:

Chicago live via KLOS, aircheck dated 8/11/78.
Fleetwood Mac live via KCBS, dated 7/17/03.

And a 'hybrid' format. One side of one tape is all of my favorite "Ocean Blue" songs and the other is picks from "The Outfield".

Pretty much everything else is a hodepodge of mixes. Most of them are pretty eclectic and don't really follow a 'theme' or 'genre'. Though I have a couple that are actual "mixed" (as in music overlays where the songs fade in and out over each other through use of the mixer). A couple are 'club' mixes of various 'dance' songs. Basically what you would hear if you went to any 'dance' club. It is a tape that can provide three hours of continuous music (minus the time to change directions) sans a live DJ. Which, incidentally is what I made the tape for. Years back, I was often asked to "DJ" parties. I decided it would be easier (and funner) to actually PREMIX the songs. That way I could mingle with the party and not be stuck behind the mixer all night long. Only a small percentage of it. Another is all trance and techno. And another is "easy listening" type stuff.

Anyway, you got some good songs on there.

"Easy Lover" has so many highs in the cymbals, I had to use the EQ on Real Player when recording the song to level it out; had set the treble at 0.

My computer doesn't have much of a sound card, so I would probably burn the songs to a CD first to record from that. It wasn't that long ago I made up some mix tapes. It was years since Ive done it last. Its really enjoyable doing it again. Im kind of weird in the sense I like a variety of different tape brands, so one day I'll grab a Denon DX-4 or another a Maxell XL-IS tape. Its fun to choose which tape you are going to use next.

Sony UX (early 1990's type)

The 12"s sound much better. The production and mastering were much better in the 1980's, the songs from the CD side are from the past 15 years.
I cheated on the DM track: it was a vinyl rip recorded on CD.
