Hi everyone, I currently own an otari 5050, first version, and I'd like to mount an opel plate to use pancakes. In order to make this possible I need AEG hubs.
But, as you probably know, AEG is a german standard, so all the few plates I've found are for Studer and similar RTR and they have a couple of pins that needs a couple of holes in the RTR to fit it perfectly and be fuxed in it.
Well, mine, as all standards Otari, simply doesn't have it.
So I just have to possibilities.
1. Or i find a different reel adapter (Reel Hold Knob and reel drive Nail) with the necessary holes, like the following:

2. Or I find a specific Otari adapter, like the one at page 22 of the following manual (that become possible to mount AEG hubs but I'm not sure about plates, cause I've never seen these without pins, so I assume holes are necessaruy the same...). Anyway, my Reel clamps are different, so at least I need those, too...

So, have you got any idea about where in the world to find what I need to mount plates AEG standard (the only existing) on my Otari 5050?
Thank you very much for answering...
