I picked up tha acrylic replacement platter for my Debut III.
Wow, what a difference.
Was considering a stylus upgrade and my local dealer talked me into the platter instead .
More return for the money he said, he knew what he was talking about.
It looks a lot better than the metal one also.:-)<-

That's awesome, I've heard it's supposed to be a really good upgrade, improving dynamics especially. I would get one for my RM-5, but I haven't yet determined whether it's compatible.

I originally went to see about a stylus or cartridge upgrade.
To upgrade the OM5E stylus to a OM30 was about $200,a new stylus for my old AT15Sa is $200-300.
I figure $ 95 for the platter was worth taking a chance plus it will pay off in the future with a better cartridge.
I am trying to be realistic though, it is an entry level table.
But it works for me.

It is, but it's still worthy of a very nice cartridge, and IMO you're doing this the right way by building a sturdy foundation, if you're planning to get a better cartridge later on.
