Having used Dolby S for years- I love that NR. Im aware Dolby S was derived from Dolby SR which is used mainly for movie multitracking and film prints. I have DBX's type II encoder-decoder as well. But was there such a rack mountable Dolby S/ SR encoder/decoder in the same vain as the DBX units or the Nak Dolby B-C unit? I'd love to get my hands on a S/ SR unit if possible.
The only thing I could find were some (not all) Dolby Model 361 and maybe 363 units offered this. The 422 models also had S as well. The 422 looks like what Im after, but Im unsure of its sound quality (especially compared to high end decks that use S internally). Im aware the filters in the 422 would have to be removed.
