And a happy Sunday afternoon to all you tapers. Just a couple of quick things to go over here in this weeks update.
First, in the event you didn't see the announcement that's at the top of every page, we now have two moderators helping me keep en eye on the site. Scorpion8 is the moderator for all of the tape related boards including cassette, reel to reel, and the mastering sections. And BroonsBane will be moderating the other boards including the other audio and non audio sections of the site including vinyl and 'general interest'. They have been entrusted to maintain the sites standards as well as being a go-to person if any of you have a basic question. Of course anyone is still free to come to me at anytime. But unless you have a major problem, I do ask that you allow them the chance to help you out with any concerns you have before coming to me. That's why they're there.
The only other change to the site worth noting is the creation of "The Lounge" forum, located in the "introductions" section. I set that forum up to act as the place to socialize and just have fun. It is not a topic specific board and you can post pretty much anything you want, so long as it's not too tacky, raunchy, or risqué. Though I do ask that topic-specific discussions be posted in the correct forum. "The Lounge" is NOT the place to ask how to record a tape or list a turntable for sale. There are already dedicated forums for that. Likewise, if you want to espouse your beliefs on why you think the 22'nd Ammendment to the Constitution should be repealed, we have "The Mud Pit" forum for newsworthy, op-ed, and debate topics.
I guess that's about it for this week. Enjoy your stay here on TapeHeads and we'll see you out in the other forums.
Thanks
