Well....thought I'd give this a try on this fantastic site,I did it before on the "other" site, did it for about a year, about every week, scanned in a few pages from the large audio literature collection I have.So here goes,I may not get all the pages of the brochure scanned in,but at least Matt had the foresight to allow more pages to be scanned in than over at that "other" site.I'll try to do something new each week, something of course related to everything audio/video/car stereo and audio etc.I do have a few cassette deck brochures,so we'll start with one of them, and what a start, with Aiwa cassette decks, back in their glory days!! These were some nice looking machines, with lots of features and some nice specs.,for the times that is.I would have love to owned the AD-6900,either with the rack handles or the wood sidepanels, simply a beauty to admire!! I don't have a year listed for this brochure, possibly someone can pinpoint it for us.So enjoy the scans, and I'll start getting some brochures together to scan in for future weeks to come. Rob

If you remember, I was one of the biggest customers of your weekly threads over at AK. I enjoyed them tremendously.
I guess IŽll become one of your biggest customers here, too.
Thanks Rob.:-)<-

Thanks guys for the comments, guess I'll dig out some more brochures,I do have a few already scanned into the computer,so I've got a good start to get the ball rolling.I knew there were a few of you who remember my weekly contribution over at that "other" site, but there are new members here,so I'll let it start again here at TH.Be sure to check in each week, there's going to be some interesting audio literature to check out. Nice .
If you have one for the M-700 I would love to see that.
Info seems to be hard to find on that model.
Mine needs work and I am trying to decide if its worth putting much into.
It does seem like a nice deck for its day.
Keep up the good work , it is appreciated.:-)<-

Rob.... just a point of note. One of the car forums I follow has a member who does an "Ad of the Day". It's not generally as large and complex as yours are, and may be as simple as a single ad from a 70's car magazine. My point is don't wear yourself out doing these. They should be fun, and (IMHO) hark back to better days. Even (e.g.) a 1-page tape ad is a gem, or a cover of a Stereo Review with neat gear. I'd rather you had fun doing it, and not get to the point of "it's such a big hassle". Personnaly, I love the Retrokeeper Scan of the Week and somehow the world seems right again now that you're back to posting them again. We all appreciate it, but make sure you have fun doing it. When it gets to be a chore, let us know....

Hey SC8!! I don't have any problems at all posting a weekly brochure scan,it's really no trouble at all, since I have all my brochures within easy access, have a lot of them already scanned in and ready for downloading, and feel good about offering them for others to enjoy.I just wish I had a scanner when/before I ebayed quite a few other brochures I had.I do have a TON of what I call "pocket" brochures, and some of the illustrations/photos are small,so hopefully they scan in with some clarity and everyone can read the print and make out what the component is.I do have some audio magazines, and will post some goodies out of them soon.I could kick myself for throwing out all my Stereo Review and High Fidelity magazines I used to have, what an idiot I's is!!Plus I have a ton of car stereo brochures and a bunch of retail audio catalogs (i.e. Radio Shack/Lafayette Electronics/mail order catalogs,etc.)...so I'm sure I'll keep everyone alookin' for quite some time!! I really, really enjoy doing this, and hope to keep the audio literature rollin' in for some time to come. Rob
