My Onkyo is Back!

I just got my Onkyo back from the technicians. He said it was a few minor tweaks. I haven't got it hooked up yet. It's good to have it back.

Excellent! Pics and review when it's all intergrated back in it's rightfull place. I can't remember what was up with it in in the first place. Was it a sound issue?

I love my Onkyo tape deck. Mine is a TA-R410. Not TOTL but an extremely well performer.

Well, I finally got around to hooking up the Onkyo Integra TA-2090 last night. I sent it back for warranty work on a few minor issues and it came back with major ones. When trying to adjust record levels the right meter stays pegged on +8!!! Also the Accubias light no longer stays lit. I talked to the guy on the phone and after about a half hour he felt I should send it back again. I hope this fixes everything once and for all.

Did'nt the guy who "Supposedly" fixed it test it out before sending it back to you?Sounds like maybe you need to find another repair guy.That's the only problem these days,finding a knowledgable repair person that still works on cassette decks (There a Dying breed).I've had the same problem,sending things out for repair only to get them back in worst shape than when i sent it.I sent out a Denon DRM-44HX to get new belts installed and to get lubed and check speed and head alighnment.This deck had the rosewood side panels that were in perfect shape,not one single scratch or scuff.Well when i got the deck back the right side panel had a huge deep gash in it like someone keyed it and two of the screws that hold down the top cover were missing.And of course they said it was like that when they received it.Not only that but the first tape i put into it got eaten which that deck never ever did before.And of course they said they tested it out completely before shipping it back to me and they said it worked perfectly.

He claims it was working great. Since this is the guy I bought it from I don't have much choice but to let him do the work. It cost me 20.00 each time I sent it back.
