Yes, 1000% concur. I try to send them info whenever I get some that they are missing. I even invited them to join over here.

I sent him pages from cassette deck manuals with specs. Those specs showed up on the deck's respective pages a few days later. Some pics they can't use as you notice they have a certain "style" of their deck pictures....

It's a great site.
However, as it is with a lot of crap on the web, vintagecassette has lot of misinformation in data on a lot of their deck infos like amount of motors, amount of heads, frequency response etc etc.
So read the info on that page with sceptisism.

Or better yet, help them get it updated by providing the right information if you have scans or copies of documentation. Yes!

Well............
IMHO they should never have published any data if not sure of specs on concrete machines.

I'm sure they only go off what's provided. If someone gives them bad info or says "I know it was a direct-drive yadayada" then that's all they have to go on. If they could fact-check every machine, then they wouldn't need submissions to help keep stuff updated, they'd just update all of it.
But I've told them of models not on their list, I provide spec sheets from OMs or SMs whenever possible, and pics (that rarely get used due to my amateur digital fotography skills). But what they use they are pretty sure is right. I prefer to be part of the solution, not part of the problem. Don't complain about them, just help them get it updated..... it's a great reference afterall.
