I got my car back from the shop yesterday & they did something with the radio/battery connection. Now, everytime I turn my car on, my radio is blank & none of the presets are saved. So instead of fiddling with the dial until I get around to fixing it, I popped in a Herb Alpert & TJB cassette I made a few years back.
Even though I just got back into cassettes this last spring, I'd still make an occasional tape for my car, being as I don't have a CD player in it & I like the JVC deck I have. It actually has real knobs! No menu to navigate thru, no buttons that control the volume at whatever intervals they decide at the factory, etc... I bought it on closeout at Best Buy for only $49 about 8-9 years ago. This was a cassette deck that would have cost around $200+ back in the heyday of car stereo cassette decks.
Anyhoo, The H.A. & TJB cassette I made has been in my car for about 3 years. It's been thru winters that get -20 degrees or colder & summers that get over 100. That Fuji sounds brand new. No warped sound or nothing; it's like the day I recorded it. I just thought I should mention it.
