Did you actually load the tape onto the TEAC? With one hand holding the camera, that would be quite a feat!

Back in the day (the 70's), BASF LP35LH was my favorite tape to purchase on 7" reels. It seemed to work very well on the Pioneer RT1020H that I had then (and still have). When purchasing 10" reels, I chose BASF, TDK and Maxell. All 3 worked well, but the BASF seemed to be every bit the equal, or slightly better performer. *reelspin**reelspin*

Here is a picture of a half-dozen still-sealed boxes of BASF LP35LH that I purchased in the last year or two.

Good old lp35, good tape but a bit on the hissy side.
enjoy your find. Not my favourite but not my least favourite either.

I had a lucky seven set of unopened LP35s. I have opened all but two. My supply of blank rtr tape is wearing thin however. Always on the lookout for tape, but not cracking open the two yet until I have more in supply.

Sweeeeetttt!!!!. I would like to try some of those, If I could find them in that condition.


I got almost 40 of these, from a guy on the net, and all the one's I have opened are perfect. Under 100$ Usd delivered. No SSS no Squeel, No issues at all. Basf LP35 and Scotch 207...AFAIAC yours and mine are "Picture Perfect'!

Mine have the Plastic boxes just like yours in black....

Kudos on a great video, especially the one handed shots!
