Is it Live or is it Memorex?

Here is something from my stash. These were quite common in my day. I was taken with the flip top box and haven't seen anything like it since. I have a couple that I recorded on in 1970 something but was never happy with the results. Which begs the question has Memorex ever made a decent tape? I pass on Memorex tapes today no matter how cheap they are.

I have a couple of older Memorex but I was never impressed with them, even back in the day. And I could never get one to shatter a glass like the commercial used to show, and believe me I tried......:D Dumb human tricks, ya know.....

I have a few five-packs of the Type I Memorex tapes (purchased last summer from Circuit City,) and they seem okay. Like you, I too have not always had the highest opinion about this brand, but the Type Is I bought are pleasant enough. I haven't heard any drop-outs, nor have I had any other problems with them.
