Do you turn off your subwoofer or just leave it on all the time? The power switch on mine is on the back and really hard to get to where it is located..

I always turn my sub off after each use. I suppose if your sub woofer's power button is not very accessible, could you plug the sub's power cord into the back of a switched power outlet on the back of your receiver, if the receiver has a switched outlet?

or maybe use a power saving power strip with remote switch?

Depends on how much power it uses when turned on but silent and yor willingness to pay for the electricity instead of turning it off or using a power strip with a switch (if the subwoofer allows that).

depends on what kind it is. most newer subs have a sensor switch that will shut down the sub into standby mode if no audio signal is going to it after abt 30 mins or so. i have two powerd subs, i leave them on all the time.

I say leave on as turn on/turn off can cause problems.
I have an Infinity SSW 212 subs that I bought new back in '95. I have read lots of complaints from owners saying the amps crap out after a a few years.
Me? I have left it plugged in, never turned it off and it still works fine, after 16 years of use. Maybe leaving it on all the time did the trick.

my infinity Alpha 1200S sleeps when there is no signal for a while, no need to turn off *bigthumbup*
