There is an allegedly working 1975 - one owner Tandberg 9100x for sale not too far from here.

Are these worth taking a chance on in view of the ics ets, which I believe are unique and not replaceable with others?

I had a 3600x at one time.

If the transport button lights seem to work normally i.e. Stop is lit up at rest, and the others light up when pressed, the logic stuff is probably ok. The typical problems you'll need to deal with on this deck are the sticky pinch roller arm pivot and the tape lifter pivot, brake mechanism clean/lube/adjust, setting reel table heights correctly, adjusting tension arm mechanisms etc. Plus some deox, new belts, like any other deck.

It went for about £111 yesterday.
Only about 20 miles from here, but more than I was going to risk on it.

Another one for sale in Wales, today IIRC.
