I am in need of the North American version of the Aiwa XK-S9000 Service manual. I got stiffed on one I asked for on E-Bay & got sold out from under me.
It is the Aiwa XK-S9000 Type "U" version of the Service Manual

If some one has it & can either e-mail me a pdf scan of the manual OR can sell me an ORIGINAL (NO COPY) please send me a PM.
Also the same for the Owners Manual would be nice.

Hi 390FE
Maybe it will not help you much, but if you don't find a scan of an original i can send you a good copy in PDF file of the TYPE D,H,E,K version.

Steve, Thanks for the help & offer. I did find a pdf copy of the Type D, H, E, K version on Ebman & downloaded it for free.
I know from past dealings with SVC manuals that there is a difference between the American & European/Asian decks/SVC manuals some times they are minor changes in the circuit & sometimes not. Most of the time it is only in the power supply section but can also extend into the rest of the unit.
So that is why I need the Type U version.
Steve do you happen to have the Aiwa Service manual for the "Basic Tape Mechanism OZM-5R1"? That is a seperate SVC manual JUST for the tape transport in this deck. You can see it listed on the cover of the decks SVC manual.
Thanks

390- Were you bidding on my deck today? I do have a service manual for this deck, though it is for D, H, E, K models. I don't see what would change to be honest. In the manual- it doesn't show anything I've noticed for different models.

A bit late and not exactly what is required but maybe useful:
http://rapidshare.com/files/237179760/AIWA_XKS9000.pdf - service for D,H,E,K versions. I also can upload the user manual for H,E,K versions if needed.
Cheers

braxus I have seen in other brands of equipment changes in the service manual depending on what country the item is made for.
Ther will be different part #'s for the different power transformers for the different voltages like , 110v, 120v, 220v, 240v & for models that have a universal powersupply that will work on different voltages by just changing a switch setting on the rear panel of the unit.
Also changes in part values/specs & part uage. Mainly due to safety requirements & needs for the country or area it is used for.
Proton for example issues 1 SVC manual for some (if not all) their units & it covers the different versions made for other countries. In the schematics they will box off different areas of the circuit & show what part is for each country & give the different part #'s & values as needed.
In the case of this Aiwa they have a different manual for each group of countries because there are differences. Some times it is minor & sometimes it is major. But without either the different versions of the unit side by side & all versions of the manaul in hand it is very hard to know.
