El Monte Slim

I purchased this nice TEAC TZ-10 Maintenance Set from a gentleman recently. He had gotten out of RTR a while back and recently discovered that he still had this item.

I have seen these kits before, but rarely were they complete. It's a given that the TZ-261A Head Cleaner fluid would be evaporated after 35 years, but most kits are missing a few pieces as well. Quite often, the flashlight is either missing or damaged due to corroded batteries. But in this kit, it is not only there, but in pristine shape.

According to the instruction sheet, the kit came with the batteries for the flashlight. These are not in the kit, but that's probably a blessing, as I can not believe that they wouldn't be corroded by now and would have ruined the kit!

I thought you TEAC fans might enjoy seeing this kit and the instruction sheet.

This kit is a welcome piece of vintage 70's memorabilia to be added to El Monte's collection.
