Hey all,
Joined up the other day, having some fun so far. I'm sadly not worthy to be called a true Tapehead, but I recently picked up two Yamaha decks to start myself along the trail again.
Darn, now I might have to fix the cassette deck in my car... :-?

Well welcome aboard!
We are hoping that you stick around and stay active. Otherwise, you're going to be just that. A lurker.
However, there are two ways to change that.
Lurker is just a default title that all new users pick up when they join and are approved from "probationary" member.
Once you hit 10 posts, your title becomes "TapeHeads.Net Member". When you hit a hundred, it becomes "Serious TapeHead".
Or you can cheat and go into your User CP and change your own title to whatever you want, for instance: "Yamaha Junkie".
Welcome aboard!

Welcome aboard. What models of Yamaha do you have? I have a K-1000 that I like pretty well. It was my first decent home cassette deck. Mine still had the remote and manual. It looks pretty clean too.

Welcome aboard.
A Yamaha is a good choice , they made great machines.
I have a KX-390 and a KX-1200U .
I have been happy with every thing the 1200 does.
I used a K-950 until it was stolen.
You can absorb a lot just hangin' out here , we are more than happy to answer any questions you may have about tape.
