I picked up another NAD 2200 power amp. It has the Power Envelope and soft clipping circuitry. Any other fellow NAD amp owners?

I had a 2200pe. It sounded great although it wasn't all that reliable in the long haul.

I used to have a 2200/1155 combo but I sold them during one of my "house cleanings". I wish I still had them, I've always wanted to try the 2200 in mono mode.

IMO, the 2200 sounds better than the 7600 and 7400 receivers, which have the 2600A and 2400 amps respectively. This 2200 will stick around for awhile...until my next house cleaning.

That's the combo I had too. Nice little preamp which I also sold during a gear purge. D'oh!

I have a 2400PE. Not too shabby - definitely can put out the power for it's 100 watt rating. I have a feeling I'd like it better with the right pre-amp in front of it, however.

I'm back on my Yamaha R-9 for the time being. --smokin--

As far as reliability, there's good and there's bad from what I've read and researched. I can't remember which models to avoid ... but I don't think the 2400 is one of them.

I use a NAD 7155 receiver at work every day. It also has the soft clipping feature but not the Power Envelope. I've been offhand looking for a NAD 2155 amplifier to bridge with it and then that baby would come home.

Awesome.

I have a NAD reciever that I've been debating selling for a while now. It's been in the closet for a few years. It's a 7045.

NAD reliability? NAD was "budget audiophile" and it shows in some of the component selection. For example, the trimposts in the 7175PE are tiny and not plastic shielded. So, they tend to corrode and fail causing annoying pop on power up.
