Hi,
I recently picked up an new (old - you get what I mean) pionner tape deck, but it's missing the chrome feet. I hunted around the local electronics store, but couldn't find the correct sized feet to match with the rest of the system. The ones I'm looking for are 50mm diameter and 18mm tall (or there abouts).
I've looked around ebay and done some google searches without much luck. Does anyone have a suggestion on where I might further my search?
Thanks

Which model, or post a picture?
Not all black decks have these feet and many have plastic/rubber rear feet, not the fancy discs. Some other brands have similar (Fisher?) however, many of those are faux and half circles molded into the front with rubber stops glued into the back.
There are discs like the ones you mention on their CD players, laserdisc players, receivers, etc.

Hi Warped Bezel
It's a Pioneer CT-W910R dual cassette deck. It should have the feet. I've included a pic from a past tapeheads member (saved me uploading pics)
http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll310/shaorin-chan/LA%20SYSTEM/GR-777St.jpg
I've also downloaded a copy of the manual which shows the feet included. What's hard to see in the pic, is a plastic bar that runs underneath the chasis of the deck toward the front (kinda in between where the feet should be). As a result, the deck rests on this bar and therefore tilts backward, so placing other equipment on top creates a leaning tower of [ahem] audio *wink*

The feet/cupped equipment supports that were supplied with my LFD amplifier are not fixed, the user moves them around to find the optimum location.
The feet are basically rubber inserts within a metal cup, ergo a viscoelastic foot that fits into a milled aluminum cup.

I think I might have some to give, on a tweaked CT-W500. I will look.

I have a 710 in your deck's series and it is missing the big golden feet as well. Move ahead a couple years to CT-W503R and while the face piece HAS molding that indicates those feet can go there I see four button style feet that either snap in a different set of holes in the front or are attached inside with screws. They look a lot like computer feet!
The Thomsen/RCA made Optimus I have that is virtually a clone of the 503R minus the Auto BLE has the feet, only all black. I have a W770 that is half and half. CLD-S201 has four gold feet, I think most of the other Laserdisc players and DVD carousel players are half and half. I have a Technics with 4 gold feet, they are attached INSIDE.
The deck I was thinking of could be in the shed or I haven't located it yet. I'm going to have to get some sleep and get back to it this afternoon.

I found it, didn't recognize it at first.
Now for the good and bad news...
Both example like yours had button feet in the back. No feet in front. Seems Pioneer nuts like to scavenge them? Maybe they remove them to make up for tight quarters also.
If I can't make some repairs to my CLD-S204 Laserdisc player this week (it fell) I could sacrifice those feet. Keep us in the know and I'll contact you ASAP to check if you need then still.

Here's a link for parts for your Pioneer CT-W910R:
http://parts.pioneerelectronics.com/model.asp?modelNum=CT%2DW910R
Innovative Audio's banner, featured at the bottom of out forum page, has a bin of extra parts including feet for audio equipment. Fire off an e-mail to Gordon or Susan for the parts you need. Looks like you need part # AMR 1159.
Nando.

I've also got quite a collection of factory feet. With so much stuff in the big rack feet are................redundant? No, jeez, irrelevant.
If you would post a pic of one that is not on the unit I can probably match it.

Thanks to everyone for their ideas!
Elite-ist: I'm unable to register with the pioneer parts website, as I live in Australia - seems to be a US only thing. I went to the Pioneer Australia website - which appears to be nowhere near as good as the US one. It's simply a web-form where you put in your details. Unfortunately, it doesn't recognise the model # of the machine, so won't allow me to proceed. *fit*
For those that wanted pics, I pulled one off the amp:
http://i1095.photobucket.com/albums/i474/bwana5_2009/VSX818v.jpg
It's dimensions are a little larger than what I originally thought:
55mm diameter x 20mm tall (roughly). I checked this against the picture provided in the manual - and these dimensions seem to be about right (sat one under the machine and it looked correct):

Thanks to those that might be able to assist with any old ones you have lying around. I'd be happy to cover postage if any of you come up with something.
Thanks for your help

Pioneer has a sub for the part list in Nando's link but it's out of stock with an eta of maybe more than a month or two (in other words, unknown)
Lee, I could probably use 2 or 4 myself if you find that many? Thanks and hope you can help bwana.

If you wish, I believe we can help you out. Please let me know exactly how many you need as I think we have about 50 or 60 sets in different colors.
Cheers!

Thanks again to everyone that has offered assistance. I should point out that I live in Australia - so postage will be a little more expensive than sending something domestic. I'm happy to cover this cost however.
Thanks

Ok fellers this is what I have. 4 appear to be what you are looking for. The other 4, could you make those work WB?

The second set of pics are of the original Pioneer part. Funny, they have a goldish tint compared to the original Yamaha feet of the first two pics. Or maybe because they are Brushed???

The Pioneers are a golden tone. I have spray paint that can make them about that tone although at close distance the differences aren't that large and they will attach with of without the guide peg on the top. All of them will be quite useful.

After re-reading the posts I broke out the mics. The Pioneer feet are.5585 inches, (approx 15 mm) the Yamaha feet are .503 inches not including the alignment tab.

They've had those feet since maybe 1988 and many of the best Laserdisc players in my opinion were built around 1990-92. DVD/CD 5 disc carousels, 1998-2001 (DV-CX03 series) because the integrated DVD receivers they made for a while seemed to always be broken. Still, that's about 22 years for that part. Feet are not normally that dominant a feature, not even 'regular' feet tend to be the same style between model ranges.
The golden disc foot was a design choice of the mid to late eighties, much like the large center display, slab buttons, large volume knobs on non-pot motion sensing controls (or even motorized), huge slotted vents that sometimes wrap arounf the entire lid, F or cable connectors for FM, push terminals insead of screw types and really big speaker terminals that can take banana plugs...and the dual power and standby switch setup.
Surround came in at about the same time that Pioneer introduced these newer styles for receivers.
Half the time others just used them as faux trim in faux 'stacker' units.
