I had to make a trip to the DMV today and saw this old hearse in the parking lot... I usually have a 'good' camera with me on days off but of course I had to take this with my Palm:

While I was waiting for my number to be called... I saw this real big guy 6'+, 300lbs easily, with long black hair in there.... I didn't put 2+2 together until I saw him outside with the hood up trying to start the beast... and when it did there was a big puff of blue smoke and the sound of rattling exhaust system. I didn't want to take a pic of the dude, I just gave him a 'thumbs up':-)<- when it started and he gave me a nod... but man did he compliment the image of the car!Yes!

Awesome. For their huge size, I'll bet they had some pony's under the hood for subtle power during funeral motorcades.

It's actually an old ambulance.

I was looking at an old Pontiac ambulance to buy several years ago as the price was right, it was in excellent condition and the damn thing just looked cool.

That would be a very cool ride fully restored.

I like that thing, very cool. Don't drive one if you are afraid of what might be behind you though :D

Imagine that all decked out in gloss black, dark tinted windows, orange-glow LED lighting inside, the rear door swings open and some dry-ice fog floats out to Ozzy singing "The Ultimate Sin" while the rear wheels hop like you was in da 'hood.....

They make cool vehicles. Just ask Claire on Six Feet Under.

The one I was looking at was metallic blue, had a 455 BB and dual a/c. The back of it had compartments all over in the floors. IIRC it has a big ass bench seat in the front and one behind it then the area for the gurny.

We were considering it for a bandmobile as the gear and the entire band could easily fit in it.

Kinda wish I had it but with the gas prices I'm glad I don't :)
