Ok. So the first one was starting to get a bit long and bulky. So it's time to start a new series dedicated to all the "losers" who have polluted the site with their presence.

Anyway, one user on the last one made a good point. How come no one else ever SEES these alleged spam messages that I've been kicking people off the site for? How does everyone know I'm not just randomly booting people for miniscule infractions-the way that certain other audio sites will ban you-for example-incorrect use of a semicolon. Or posting a reply that contains too many vowels.

Well here's why.

Because a few spam messages did actually get through and go live in the past, by now most of you should know that all new members to the site here are initially PROBATIONARY. Anything they try and post goes into a Moderator queue for my review. I look it over and then either decide to approve it (and upgrade the user in question to full status). Or else delete it and ban the user before anyone else sees it.

As proof, attached is a screen shot of the back-end Moderator control panel (the real nuts-and-bolts Administrator control panel is about three times the size!), and a few posts in the "holding tank". As you can see, they are pretty worthless garbage. So it and the authors will be punted off the site before you guys are any the wiser. Incidentally, I'm posting this screen shot as an attachment and not a hotlinked image. That way, as an attachment, only full users can see it. Visitors and probationary members do not have rights to view attachments.

After weeding some of these out, I decided on something I probably should've been doing all along (to date only have once). And that is anytime I see a new registration and the username is a nonsense combination of letters and/or numbers and/or symbols, they will be immediately exterminated on sight. I mean think about it. If someone is joining the site with the intention of participating, they are going to choose a handle that means something like "Maxell_lover", or "Capstan" or "MikeInSB" or "DQ-10", or SOMETHING like that.

Shit like "QQM87!!!26548975"?

Those aren't usernames. And they have no intention of being active members. So shame on me for not having this revelation sooner.

But anyway. Enough of that.

Although it was said that the "particle collider test" was successful and no "black holes" were created, I beg to differ.

There IS, in fact, a Black Hole floating around out there.

-Because two more names just went down it. Courtesy of TapeHeads. No scratch that. Courtesy of themselves.

So congratulations efgh341 and tytiiiore!

You two have the honor of being the first ones in the second round to be told HASTA man!

Remember. Second place is the first loser.

-A truism that could not be more appropriate in this instance.

A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do, and an adminstrator has to do what an administrator has to do. flushhhhhhhh.

I couldn't agree more. The "black hole" was the guy who banned me from that other place ..... :D

Thanks for that Matt. What a waste of time for all including the just hoofed losers. These turkeys should be weaving baskets or driving a shadouf on the Nile. Something useful.

Got another one. This one actually sat for awhile before he tried anything. Had this username tried to register now, he would never have even been made probationary. This is why I'm now not even allowing nonsense usernames on the site.

Congratulations fffuusky. I believe you are the 9th person to be escorted into the Hall Of Shame.

Spam is garbage. Spammers are litterbugs. TapeHeads is a clean site so I'm tossing the litterbugs out.

Whether or not actual real people (as opposed to some 'bot programs) are behind these names is anyones guess. And to be quite honest, I don't care. They're being ejected just the same.

Adios!

In most instances, being a "ten" carries all kinds of positive connotations to perfection in sports to being beautiful.

But not here on TapeHeads!

Instead "10" is the number of the latest spammer, username Teetdiro to be shown the door for would-be spamming. Again.

Oops

Sorry pal. You've been disqualified and are no longer welcome to participate at this venue.

Due to the paucity of particular factions and their recalcitrance to adhere to established protocol; ergo infraction to established and Good Faith Terms; a cause of action was put forward that which resulted in the jettison of aforementioned party(s).

Today, we add Lady Ayeka/MacGyver to this list. As of today, he has been permanently removed from the site. This was as a result of repeated violations vís-a-vís image posting guidelines. He received numerous warnings, a suspension from the site, and off-limits to certain parts of the site. Those restrictions were lifted this morning and within hours, more of the same behavior ensued. He was told in no uncertain terms No Animé.

And what did he do? He posted some more Animé. It's obvious that despite mine and the Mods willingness to try and work with him far beyond what would be considered fair and reasonable, John apparently is unable or unwilling to follow even the simplest of instructions. He loves Animé. He found zero support for it here. It generated numerous complaints. He seemed to have found a forum that does cater to that interest. John has also expressed a substantial list of personal issues. So put it all together, and in light of his 'last straw' posting today, I feel that at this time it best to truncate his membership. I don't think that TapeHeads is the site for him.

We wish him well with his hobbies and his personal life. He is still welcome to come by and browse as a guest. But his membership and ability to participate has been permanently removed.

Des, thank you....you (and the rest of this forum) has done all that can be done to help get him on the right track...it's not gonna happen here.

I'll correct VD's comment. Its not going to happen HERE. Never say never.

And Matt- thank you for being honest enough to give chances when other sites would have just kicked you to the curb.

I'll support both Matt here, and John. Matt and the moderators (myself included) worked with John offline in many, many communications. He was given specific instructions, a 3-day "get the message?" ban, more detailed simple "thou shalt not" instructions, and was even barred from the non-audio sections as another "do you get the message now, buddy?" hint. The day Matt turned him back open onto the forum as a whole, he went right back to his old ways.

I personally liked John. He has many issues, none of which are germane to this forum as an audio-related gathering place where we discuss other stuff in a polite gathering. But I've never met anyone who didn't get the message after so many hints, direct communications, andf finally pointed directions.

We're all sorry as a staff that it came to this. We wish him well. There may or may not be a place for him here later. That is up to Matt as he's the owner and makes the rules. It's his place. But we can't have one guy run amok despite specific instruction to the contrary. For now, that's how it stands.

Thank you for letting us know.

I find it an informative idea to have this section with the subject of suspended members.

I find that any further discussion of people in absence is unethical, though.

Other forums allow no discussion of mod actions or bannings...

Allowing people to know what's going on and ask legitimate questions keeps everyone honest and on the same page.*Hi5*

To end up this thread on John, since he can still read all the threads on this site- lets just keep any negative comments to a minimum. As Dolph said, I don't think he'd want to hear anyone saying anything bad.
