I need help and guidance.
Recently I made an offer in Ebay for :
J.S. Bach: Sonatas & Partitas for Solo Violin~ Sigiswald Kuijken (2CDs BOXSET) by Harmonia Mundi and was accepted.
I made the purchase under the impression that it is the 1st Original album in CD format since the 3 vinyl set was manufactured by Harmonia Mundi in 1983.
The seller represented the 2 box CD set as
" ... + 43 Page Booklet. Original 1990 German Pressings! "
and showed the pictures of the CDs and cover as follows :
When I asked if there are any letterings inside the transparent ring he provided the following : " Inner Ring: SONOPRESS D-1760 GD77043-1 B
D-1761 GD77043-2 A "
What I understand is that is there is no IFPI then the CD is an original 1st print and not subsequent reprint where the "sound quality" is not as good as the 1st print.
If this can be verified by those owning it as the 1st original album printed in 1990 after the 3 set vinyl then my purpose of buying it is fulfilled and I am satisfied though I paid quite a sum for it.
There was one set for US$27.90 inclusive shipping and condition was "near mint and unopened, Made in Germany." only the cover was shown.
Another one was selling for US$56.00 inclusive of shippng which seller indicated as" .. OOP , Made in USA , WITHOUT IFPI ..." and CD was in gold.
But if owners of the 1st original album in CD format made in 1990 since the 3 set vinyl was made can confirm that it is not the 1st Original Album then I would have been misrepresented in buying this item from the seller.
I have already paid for the item immediately after my offer was accepted. It cost me a total of US$45.68 inclusive of shipping.
If the set is not the 1st original kindly advise what I can do to pursue some satisfaction for the mierepresentation.
Thank you for all advice and guidance. *reelstop*fit*
