Hey Larry!! Yep,I heard about it thru an NPR radio report a co-worker told me to listen to,knowing I was into 8-tracks.I bookmarked the site, but it sounds like this guy just wants to show off what he collects, not necessarily an operator/listener,like we are.It is impressive to look at though,he's got some cool stuff, but if I have it I want to play it,not just let it collect dust on a shelf. I wonder if he has an address since the thrift near me has a copy of It's Only A Movie by Family on 8-track which is not something you see everyday. I wish I still had my copy of Hawkwind's first album on 8-track to send him.

Man, this isn't too far from me, maybe I'll take a trip up there sometime in the next few months!

Wonderful collection. He has worked his butt off to put the display together. I had no idea 8 track persisted until the early 80's, outside of Gusto Records country releases from Nashville.

Have a lot of the Gusto carts, I think they were mainly sold in truck stops. Lots of trucking music and country. I enjoy listening to them alot, Some of them I picked up from my wife when I married her a long time ago. She was a steel hauler out of Florida.

Man, I'm gonna have to drag out my Pink Floyd 8 tracks and take pictures. Have 8 tracks from USA/UK/France/Italy/Australia/Canada.
