They're a bit wider & deeper than the ones I bought back in the early 90's, I suppose so you can stack audio components on top of them. Boy, these really clear up quite a bit of clutter.

Sweet! I may have to come take a closer look at those for my own storage needs. What times of day are you gone from the house? :D

Yes, NAD, I need my SA-X tapes back please. :)

What I really need is to get some of these things. My situation is out of control, I'm literally swimming in blank tapes here, and the girlfriend is getting a bit irritated - she lives here too. :D

Yeah, I really needed to get them. I was placing my cassettes upright on end, like books on a bookshelf, in front of my stereo, which wasn't a lot of room in the first place. They kept falling down like dominos. These drawers are a big help.

It's too bad I can't just go to Target or Walmart & buy them anymore for $10. I had to order them online for $19.95 each. Sure, I found used ones on Ebay cheaper, but only 1 or 2 at a time & most of the time they were kind of beat up. Then, after shipping was added in, I was better off buying them new from a mail order catalog. Plus, these are 19 inches wide & 14 inches deep, so you can stack components on top of them. I have my Technics TT on top of mine.

Here's where I bought them from:

I use these at work, and got them at SA for $1 each. But I'm nerdy enough to insist that they all be the same style and they haven't had any more for awhile of that exact type. Someday, and I'll keep perusing ....

Wow, that's a lot of tapes. I wish I could listen to tapes at work.

Those are the drawers I have in my living room that have tapes in them already. Bought them new when I was a teenager.

There's even more now..... I spend most of my time on a PC, while customer interaction is a rarity. But it's all headphones.

I used to have like 6 drawers full of tapes. Maybe 7. You can see a few of them in the first pic. Anyway they ended up getting warped and fell aparts cracking into pieces, etc. So I got a set of 4 100 cassette racks (like Napa ones) and put all the tapes I have into them. I have since thrown out the old plastic drawer ones and gave 1 of them away since it was still good. Since I now have even more tapes, I bought 3 more of the 100 cassette ones- but these 3 are official Napa Valley racks. So I'll have two different looking sets. You can see the first 4 racks I have in the second picture. I wish the guy I got them from still makes them, but he's long since given up on making them.

GW is a cheap place to get them.
I can usually pick them up for $ 2 , the selection varies at times though.
I have about 10 now , still need a few more .

These drawers are absolute fantastic and best for work.
Stupid people do not ask all day "Do you still use them?"

Can I ask how in the world your speakers are ...supported? Don't they flop around when you crank them? :D I know mine would...I had my rack-era Pioneers on some quite plush carpet before I put my carpet spikes in them and when I played a particularly bass-heavy track you could actually see them slightly rocking back and forth if you watched them from the sides at a really close distance. Needless to say, the bass has firmed up quite a bit since then! The back panel used to flex a bit when I really cranked them, too...that has since been fixed, as well...:)

Lucky you, I have to face them, every day. *headache*
