Is anybody using Linux on a daily basis?
I am getting fed up with Windoze and it's daily crashes.
I just installed SUSE 11 and am using it as I type.
Is this a stable system for a linux noob?
Thanks for any insights.

I've tried and have copies of 3 or 4 different Linux versions, but honestly my PC goes months without ever crashing for any reason running WinXP Pro. I'm comfortable with XP and it's what we use at work pretty seemlessly, so can't help ya with Linux.

I "upgraded" to Vista with my last motherboard replacement.
Should have stuck with XP Pro but I didn't.*bang*

I use Suse 10.0 sparingly on one of my secondary computers. It works well. I would use it more but I only have some much time to mess around with computers and I am too damn familiar with Windows. :)

So far the only problem I have is not being able to get my Epson scanner to work.
Have you had any issues with your printer or scanner ?
My main use for the computer is scanning and restoring B & W Polaroids.

I finally went all Mac this month. I couldn't be happier.

A little fib is involved here. I'm running XP on a Bootcamp Partition with VMWare Fusion so I can use Quicken and My Any/Clone DVD programs. Mac has nothing to offer as good as those two programs.

I have thought of switch to Mac.
I have a lot of $ into Windoze software , it can get expensive switching .
Photoshop and Cattrax are the 2 I use the most along with Vuescan.

I haven't tried printing or scanning anything. I pretty much use it for browsing and email.

I have thought of using a new intel setup and installing Mac OS X on it though.
