Not that I need to collect anything else audio but, on the way home after a major speaker score I found this at a thrift for .25¢.

I'd definitely call that a score, even if just one tape. Especially in light of THIS (http://cgi.ebay.com/Maxell-METAL-MX-S-90_W0QQitemZ170259565502QQihZ007QQcategoryZ14962QQ ssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) current auction for the very same tape(s).

Good catch! :-)<-

Yes, score indeed. I actually don't think the auction price for those five tapes is so bad, but in all honesty I've never used the tapes so I don't really know.

Nice score. The simple finds are the best.

Good deal on that tape. I'd probably say that the MX-S was Maxells best tape they ever made. I know some think the Vertex tape is only so so in performance, but I've used MX-S and its a great tape.

Thanks. As is the case with everyone I would imagine the problem is what to choose to record on one of these.*reelspin*

a good score indeed!! i happened across two used examples at a local thrift a few years back, paid about the same for each. i only have one now, as i sent one to STUWEE when he sent me one of his MA-XGs. i recorded upon it some of my favorite material for him to sample...

yes, that indeed is a fair opening bid, especially since they are 90s, which of course is much better than 100s...
