Decided at the last moment to go to adistant garage sale that had advertised stereos and speakers. Pulled up and saw a large set of speakers. Though they were Heils but turned out to be Ohm Walsh A's. Saw some smaller speakers was going to pass because someone had put pipe mounts and drilled wire hole on one side:mad: but then decided to pull the grills as I went by. JBL L100's*eyepop*. Long story short bought everything for $60. )dance()dance(. Took two trips in the CRX. Been driving all day. Stopped at a thrift on the way home. See cassette forum.
Group shot and Ohm tweeters.

Sweet! I remember those when they were brand new. Always wanted to hear a pair. Good score.

Thanks all. Been doing some research on these. Apparently, the "A"s were all hand made and set up to challenge the likes of K-Horns. They are 8 ohm and as the experimenting progressed the efficiency was greatly increased. There were a couple upgrades available and I am trying to see if one was done. These started at $3995 and went as high as $6500 in the early "70s.*yikes* I put a meter on the L100's and one o the Ohms and so far so good. I did get them all inside but one bad earthquake and I'm roadkill.
