I have just resurrected my Teac A2300S. Still works extremely well. I remember at one time I had a smoked plastic cover for it. I must have lost it or thrown it out because I think it was cracked. Can anyone suggest a place to get a new one. I just polished all the stainless steel and would like to keep it looking good.
Any help pointing me in the right direction to find a cover would be appreciated
Thanks
Tom

eBay is your best bet. You might also try OakTreeVintage.com in their parts stuff.

Hi Tom,
Good luck in your quest for this accessory. Even if you find one they are extremely fragile to ship. I am not aware of anyone who is making any new ones but due to the prices of oil from where plastics are made the price would be sure to be over $100 at this point.
I hope you find what you are looking for. In the mean time if you want to keep dust off your equipment, I usually use a thicker gauge plastic bag. I know it doesn't look as nice as a dust cover but it doesn't get cracked or scratched either.

I've been concerned about dust and dirt on my reel to reels -- we have very fine glacial dirt around our place and it settles everywhere! I've looked at getting the Teac plastic covers but they are usually expensive. The solution I've been using is to cover them with a pillow slip-cover. My wife had some with colors that go well with our wall color and they make the decks "disappear" in our small living room. This might not appeal to your tastes, but is sure does the job of protecting the decks!

i use just-large-enough transparent plastic garbage type bags. you can still see (and love) them even tho they're covered up and protected.

Just want to show my 2300s with her dust cover. I was very luck to acquire a dust cover with a 3300SR I got from epray. This time my prayers came true... the listing just said it included the dust cover. Ended up being brand new in the box!! *thumbsup*

I employ several options for long medium and short term storage. Short term I use a thick beach towel to cover it. Medium term I use a large t shirt. Long term 33 gallon black trash bag and a bungee cord (s).
If you search on the internet, you can find manufacturers who make custom smoked lexan dust covers for turntables. If you prodvide the measurments, length width height depth and overhang on one end, they can make you a custom one. Then put onto rubber stick on isolators on the top and face contact points to prevent scratches ne allow it to grip when hanging.
Another option is a velvet full square zipper cover with the Teac name and model # embroidered on the front in a complementary color. The cover can be made of silk type material, also in various colors.
These can be found on Ebay and net. Dust cover custom makers can also be found on the net.
Better material than oem and new. Once one cover is made anyone else can order one others for similar machines using the exsisting measurements.
Peace,
Phil

I just use a big rubbermaid/sterilite plastic storage container. Mine is a 73qt. size. Take off the lid, and flip it upside down on the top of it.
