Today I received this very nice factory sealed box of 20 tapes.
It was kind of a peculiar feeling to open this circa 15-20 year old box.
I wonder where it travelled from the factory to here through the hands of dealers. But finally they are in good hands regarding that they will be used as God and the folks at Mannheim created for: recording.
They are not 7" but the 2x30 min playing time is fine.
It was not that cheap but I rarely came across NOS in this quantity, especially locally.

Hi Istvan,
Wow, and in your own back yard, no less! I can imagine the primo mix reel recordings to come. I know, you'll save a few BASF tapes for posterity, but record on a bulk of them. Was this a private sale?

Istvan, my year has begun great with that bit of news - thanks so much! I'll be set to record your mix reel in, perhaps, a few weeks, as my master bedroom rebuild is complete. Just one issue needs to be rectified with the floor installation at the wall where my new stereo stand will be sitting, before I start moving components back in.

How have you found the tape to be after all the years? Has it stood up sonically?

Hi Istvan,
Was this third batch from the same seller? You are on a roll.*reelspin*

The second only...
They are perfect sonically just like the best maxells - at least with my Akai GX77. I seriously thinking selling some of my older used tapes and buy at least another 20-reel-box.
The only drawback is the 5" size with 1200" tapes but some radioshows I record nowadays are 30 and 60 mins.
It seems to be the very last BASF before the EMTEC transition.
I believe they are made in 1996-1998.
