Very impressive!! I would love to hear what that MX-2000*drool* (let alone that 3020, 2040...or those Sansui's... I've never been in the same room with any of those). What pre are you using with the MX-2000?

Right now I have a Yamaha CX-1000U that I use with the MX-2000. It's a great preamp, super versatile and sounds very nice but it does of lousy job of matching the 2000 looks wise. If I could ever find a CX-2000 I'd be set :)

Man, I hope that house is sitting on a concrete slab, and not on stilts. Otherwise with all that iron you may drop a story or two..... :D

Nah. All this stuff is the very very rare and utterly unknown miniature versions of the originals. For instance, the 3020 only weighs 3lbs --smokin--

If you can "gank" it from me you deserve to have it :D
And yup, that's your ex-G9K. Looks great with its big brother doesn't it!

It was offered on AK for a great price too but no takers. Wound up fetching a good deal more elsewhere.

I'm very amazed by that Whirlpool, making the amp so hot.
Must be close to class A working temps.

Sansui Black Beast 25kg, 180 WRMS serious power and superb sound. This is now a fixer upper as I lost it to a power surge a few years back. I now have a service manual and circuit diags...another bloody project

Thanks! :-)<-

I just got the pre amp back from EW and need to fire it all up soon.

I need to get my Sansui BA/CA F1's up also but I'm on the new pc and don't have the camera set up on it yet.

If I had those Sony's there'd be no reason to leave the house :D How do they stack up against the Accuphase gear?

Rex Everything

I'll let you know when I get a chance to set the Sony's up. The Klipsch Chorus II's are a very demanding speakers and will definately show if the Sony's are as good or better than the Accuphase gear.

I really need to do a shoot out with the Accuphase, Sony, Sansui and Mitsubishi seperates. I've been leaning towards selling the Mitsu's but I need to get the amp back in the shop first.

Having problems with that amp?

Rex Everything
09-09-2008, 05:14 PM
Maybe not. It had been to EW for service and I thought I had a problem but I've been using it for a few hours with no problems. Gonna run it fro a few days to see what's up.

BroonsBane
09-09-2008, 06:51 PM
That would be great if there were no issues. No issues is much less expensive than bringing it to EW's :D

Unfortunately the issue is back and the amp will be heading back to EW's either this week or Monday.

Right now I'm leaning to selling off the TOTL Mitsubishi seperates system. If I do I'd like to sell it as a complete system.

Nice stuff ya'll*drool**drool*

I'll have what "dolph" is having....:D I'm missing my Yammie power more and more. My CX-600U RS I scored from Sluggo/Mark is doing wonders for the high-end rolled off AR's. I don't care for it with the MX-800U amp. Yamaha's Natural Sound is still flumoxing to me, I'll try everything again when the main system gets back together.

May I add pic's of stuff that definitely are my favourites but not mine, not in my possesion, things I plan to get one fine day in the future?
