Hi everyone,
I own a Teac-Tascam 32-2B which I got from my uncle. He bought it in the early 80s and used it maybe 20 times since then. It is in an incredible outside condition except that when I try to play any tape it seems that pinch rollers do not freely move as they are supposed to.
At first didn't hear anything when I played a tape (I wasn't able to record as well) until I noticed that pinch rollers were not even touching the tape. I've tried everything with no success until I moved by myself the pinch rollers up. After that I was able to record or listen but always with pitch problems.
The pinch rollers rubbers are on great condition but I think the problem is on the mechanics... Is this possible? What would you suggest to do?
Any help would be much appreciated! :)
