I just got a HK 491 off ebay with the FF and play buttons missing. Last week i got a junk 391 off ebay for parts. Question is how do I take the buttons off the 391 without breaking them? And do they pop into place or do I have to glue them in place? Made some test recordings on the 491 and thery are exceptional. Mike

Get the service manuals off HK's website, as they show how the buttons afix in the pushbutton block. They are free to download and have some pretty good exploded diagrams.

Why not just swap the entire button pack (piece 161 identical to both decks) from the parts unit onto your CD491? Looks like it is just held with two screws over the PCB-5 (again, identical to both decks)?
