Am planning down the road to add some Mac gear into my system for upgrades. On my list is the MC 275 tube amp, C220 Tube Preamp, and MCD 301 SACD player. Currently running Rotel gear seperates which are in the upper range.

After years of putting up with staticy potentiometers on a string of Pioneer Top end Receivers : SX-9000, SX-3900, QX-9900, SX-1980 and a few SA-9800 Integrated Amps, I finally got fed up and opted for a McIntosh MA2275 Integrated Tube Amp. Integrated to save space and tubes for something different.
The sound is very neutral and nothing like the power of those receivers (especially the SX-1980 at 270WPC) but very sweet sounding and being new rather than 30+ years old, runs perfectly with no issues to annoy me. Built like a tank and of the highest quality components, It should last a while. Remote control also which is a novelty for my gear. May well have just blown a tube tho as the TT only runs on one channel but have a spare set of tubes to hand.
Still love the Pioneer sound though and will get another receiver once I find a mint version of my favourite one (SX-1280) that can run on 240V. This will have all the pots cleaned or replaced to make me happy and then I will have a shootout with the Mac.

I enquired about the MC 2102, but the $7800 price on it scared me off. I will stick with the MC 275.
