Here's my 2 Crown amps with NOS original Crown cabinets I found at ebay from New In Box member. A very nice lady from California. I have my Tannoys bi-amplified with the Crowns using a Counterpoint SA-3000 pre'.

I call these amps the "sanitary" ones because it doesn't worth to fix'em. Repairs usually cost more than the amp itself! When they broke, very rare, I just discard it and buy another one. They're coming so cheap at ebay that I have an spare collection just in case. Ha!

My monitors are so ridiculously efficient that I don't need the DC-300.

Thanks. They're indeed! I have an extra one for spare, just in case. My youngest son drives his Platinum Audio with a Spec 1 and DC-300 A. He's a talented musician and arranger. Below you'll see part of his gig. My elder son is an Architect and also uses Crown. I guess it runs in the genes. We all 3 agree that for the money, nothing beats a well maintained used CROWN AMP!

There is no substitute for heavy transformers and vintage Crowns have them.
