I have a question regarding the selling price of a Tandberg TCD-440A cassette deck. I not sure what they command since I rarely see one for sale. What is fair marketplace price for one in good working condition? Thanks.

$300-$400 depending on condition and whether it comes with the wood side panels, feet for vertical use, manual, etc.

especially the feet for vertical use are notoriusly difficult to find. They can go for half the price of working TCD440A.

Not in my experience. The feet usually sell on US eBay for well under $100/pr. The smart way to get a pair is to buy an entry-level deck that comes with them, resell the deck and keep the feet for your 440A *reelspin* *reelspin*

I have not seen those feet for quite a while - entry level deck or not. Yeah about $100 would be the price. I have TCD440 without feet and it still is vertical on rubber pads.

This 310 MkII had one foot and the even rarer top connection cover, sold for $19.99:

Another MkII for $71 w/feet:

Never had any problem coming up with mounting feet... but I work at it.

That flat piece of metal isn't any use to you, will just hit the RCA jacks if you try and install it. Best to send it to me so I can use it to keep the dust out of the jacks of one of my shelf queens... *reelspin*

I was looking at a Tandberg 440A deck for sale at Steve Hoffman Forum classified but decided to pass on buying. It is silver, in working condition, includes the two feet, back cover and the original rca cables. Seller wants $500 but is willing to accept offers.

The silver version is pretty rare, I paid $450 for mine a few years ago and have only seen one since. Anyone that wants a nice silver faced Tandberg deck should consider making an offer.
