Well, I think that it was sold worldwide, at least the normal speed version (1011L), but I think that the 1011H was also sold out of Japan, but most "H" versions are unusual. The "L" is for 9.5 and 19 cm/s (3.75 and 7.5 ips) and the "H" is for 19 and 38 cm/s (7.5 and 15 ips).

I've one of those rarities, a Pioneer RT-1020H. I think the unique differences between the 1011 and the 1020 are:

- The 1011 has two positions for BIAS setting. The 1020 has three.
- The 1011 can reproduce up to 2 channels (stereo). The 1020 can reproduce up to 4 channels (quad).

The rest I think is the same in both machines.
