if i'm not mistaken, i believe this was PIONEER's very first dual cassette deck...

Hi Lady,
Those are some nice pictures you have shown here. Most people can not seem to take good clear pictures no matter what equipment they have.
Dual cassettes- I have always been against them due to the lack of proper mechanics in them. I have always said that a dual cassette would cost over
$1000 to make them. I have still never seen one I would buy.
There are opinions that I have changed though. That of Auto reverse cassettes was changed when I came across the Teac R-888X. I bought one for $4.95 on E bay that was not working. It must have had 12 hours on it. I fixed it and found out what a wonderful job it did in each direction. It uses a three head system that rotates and has ceramic stops.
How well does this Pioneer you have listed perform? I have always thought and observed that they- dual cass. units do poorly.
I have a bunch of older Pioneer in my stock pile to repair CT900, 950, 1000 and some that were left with me to see if I could get them going.
